Sustainable construction is comprehensive activities aimed at reducing the negative impact of structures and building materials on the environment throughout their entire life cycle, from project preparation through the construction process to operation.
Sustainable construction means an increasing awareness of technology and innovation in construction – it is the search for new technologies: more energy-efficient, lighter and more technologically advanced. Construction 4.0 is also about choosing material and construction solutions that lead to a maximally shortened construction process and a reduction in costs and energy, while expecting to maintain an adequate level of structural safety.
Significant changes are also taking place directly in materials engineering. Innovation in building materials is all about constantly improving their properties and performance, as well as being able to recycle and remanufacture a product with equally good properties and performance.
The construction of the future is also about the increasing importance of analytical, planning and investment preparation processes.
