Mini-focus and micro-focus tests

Mini-focus is a test with a resolution that allows diagnosis of typical structural components (castings, forged parts, welded parts) in terms of structural discontinuities (cracks, porosity, welding discrepancies). Mini-focus is a high-throughput test – the test time is significantly reduced (at the expense of the resolution obtained); the test enables the testing of product batches or products with significant wall thickness and high material density.

Micro-focus – testing with the highest resolution, accuracy and over a very wide range of measurable parts (including aircraft jet engine blades and precision steel castings).
